HOW TO CATCH AN UBER AT LAX.

WHERE AND HOW TO CATCH YOUR UBER AT LAX.

Don’t be alarmed. Don’t panic, LAX is huge with many travelers. Many aren’t very savvy  Here are some tips on gettin out of LAX and into your ride share in a limited amount of time.

First thing is pick-up your luggage and identify which Terminal you are in. You may discover that people will  huddle in a herd attempting to open their app and call for a Lyft or Uber.  Don’t do it. Be  patient.

UBER and LYFT Pick Ups are at the  ” UPPER LEVEL “ so if you landed on a domestic flight it is most likely that you are going to have to make your way “UPPER LEVEL . LAXUP

There are a few elevators in between, so consider using the inside escalators.

Taking a moment to allow you GPS to catch up to you will save you lots of time.

RIDE

LOOK FOR “RIDE SERVICE PICK UP” SIGNS. – Do not call your uber yet.

NOW THIS IS WHERE PEOPLE MESS UP: Once you have found the Ride Service Pick Up. Take note of the letter A-F. Be aware not to mistake that the letter will be on a street pole like a parking sign. Now Open your app and allow the GPS to locate where you are.  See pro tip about waiting at PICK UP F.  Uber pick up go from A-B to D-F.   YOU MUST LOOK FOR THESE SIGNS  when you call your Uber it tell you to meet at the “PICK UP Letter F ” for example. So have your bags ready.

If you are using UBER use SPOTLIGHT to help your driver find you .  Uber SPOLIGHT turns your phone screen into a specific color, once activated it sends a message to the driver so its easier to find you, some drivers have a beacon that will match the color on your screen, so both of you can find each other .

SPOTLIGHT

PRO TIP: I like to walk to PICK UP F  because it is the last pick up where there  is a HUGE stretch of available space to be picked up. I have found that Uber cars will come 10 minutes faster than somewhere else.

Also try using a a pick up spot not so close to your  landing gate. Most people are too lazy to walk a block.
